I combine images and spaces into new worlds, in this one two swans take their place in the foreground and share their revelation to the image.
This artwork encapsulates a fascinating clash between opulence and decay, between the dreamlike allure of consumerism and the underlying ghosts of reality. At first glance, the viewer is drawn into a world of excess – whimsical carousel horses, plastic princesses and oversized fish toys create an explosion of artificial joy, a carnival of nostalgia and desire. The glowing red industrial lamps, heavy and unyielding, cast a warm but suffocating light that evokes both a sense of surveillance and seduction.
